Mario Kart 7

Mario Kart 7

I first got this game bundled with the standard 2DS console as a digital download. I decided to buy directly from Nintendo which had me very worried as it was being delivered by Yodel. Everyone knows that Yodel has the worst rep. Constantly misplacing and losing parcels.

Mario Kart 7 was the first game I played on the 2DS. Produced by Hideki Konno and Yasuyuki Oyagi, the game contains classic racing courses as well remakes of courses from earlier titles.

My favourite course by far was melody motorway. Those pianos playing in tune with the music was mind blowing.

What stood out to me was how very easy the controls were to pick up. No tutorials required. It just lets you have fun right from the get go.

The most surprising thing was that you can change the camera to a cockpit view. Not only that, but the console also has gyro controls! Not very ideal though as the view is quite restrictive.

Anyway, that was my take on Mario Kart 7. This isn't meant to be a review. Just a short comment on the games I will be playing on this amazing console. Please, add your own comments on what you thought of the game.

Hi, Welcome to the "Newbie Diving into the World of Video Games!" blog.

                                                                My precioussssssss

Now, I'm not really a proper new gamer. The last game I played was Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64. But since then I have not touched a single video game. Well.... I did play World of Warcraft from 2006-2007 but I didn't really know what the hell I was doing.

I decided to get back into video games because a person just needs an outlet to lose himself in. Not only that, but I am absolutely fascinated by the sheer amount of workmanship put into video games.

I got back into video games around March of this year. I bought a standard 2DS because it was cheap. Later on I bought a New 2DS XL because them bigger screens are just awesome.

I am going to keep this blog short and simple. I will be chronicling the games I have played on the 3DS system and I hope you will enjoy the ride.
